So far it's doing the job. Easy to calibrate. Easy to use. Plop the probe right in the soil. Gives me the reading with a smiley face, rinse in r/o water, dry, and done. Love that it comes with a case and calibration fluids.

I got my APERA pH20 the day after I ordered and it was well packaged. Got out the meter and started to calibrate it. Took a while for the 7.0 to calibrate but finally got it. Did the 4.0 and it was done in seconds. Tested my plant solution and it came out exactly as I figured it would. Was very easy to use and it tested the plant food in seconds. Very happy with it so far. If it keeps working like this, I will be happy and consider it to be well worth the money spent. I have had three pH meters so far and this is the first one that worked so fast and easy. My other meter had to be calibrated after every use, that got old fast when you are testing a lot in one day.

Great PH pen! I find it at the same or MAYBE .01 off when re-calibrating. Highly recommend.

I bought this PH tester as a replacement for my first PH tester i bought. I made the mistake of buying the really cheap tester first ,You get what you pay for. This PH tester is worth every cent and i trust it. I grow Orchids and started growing a few kinds of chili peppers hydroponically so i use this tester about every other day to everyday. I check calibration once a week or before i run large amounts of water for reservoir changes and its always held accuracy. I always confirm with General Hydroponics's PH test kit with the drops.
In addition i was rushing one day and i hit the probe on the side of a beaker and i broke the little glass sensor in the end of the probe, I contacted Apera to see if it was cheaper to get it repaired rather than buying a new one. Their customer service replied back to me within 6 hours on the weekend. They repaired it for free.

Apera PH20- Accurate & Affordable & get really great accurate readings. On the pH Buffer Solution after calibration setting I get in a retest in the 7.0 solution 7.1 & the solution 7.0 bottle says -+/.o1 so the pH tester seems to be very accurate and stable. Same on the pH Buffer Solution 4.0 retest measures 4.1. I have a Reverse Osmosis Filter unit with the last stage I added a Alkaline Filter and now I can tell when I need to replace the Alkaline Filter because after so many gallons of water use the alkalinity goes down to 6.0 which is slightly acid. The Apera Instruments AI209 PH20 pH tester has been a real asset in keeping up with my Alkaline water Filter. Better and more accurate than Alkaline drops I have been using. I highly recommend Apera Instruments AI209 PH20 Value Waterproof pH tester to anyone who wants a accurate pH water tester.
PS: Really easy to Calibrate and use. Apera Instruments is a really great Product, I wish I would have bought it a long time ago, "very useful & handy". Would by again if this one stops working and is out of warranty period, Also Apera Instruments has a great Warranty too .
Update: I did re-Calibrate and this time I got a reading in the 7.0 solution of 7.0 and in the 4.0 solution a reading of 4.0 and now stabilize and accurate for I tested in both solutions four times and tested 7.0 and 4.0 each time !!

I use this meter for mash pH when brewing beer. Used the solutions to calibrate, checked water PH, added acid and salts , hit my PH within .01 which is what I was expecting. Definately a good value for entry level all grain brewers without spending $100+.

I purchased this unit to do routine therapy pool testing. Calibration was easy (once i viewed the video).
Routine daily use is very simple and easy.
The packaging of the unit is nice, keeping the buffer solutions and instrument together and well protected.
Considering the price, Amazon Prime delivery, packaging and performance this unit is an excellent value.

For the price, this little ph meter is excellent! I use it to measure and adjust water for beer mashes from a ph level of 7.0 down to about 4.5 so the yeast will live longer and therefore, produce much more. To adjust, I add Citric Acid to the water until I get to the 4.5 range and then I'm ready to go. Love this meter as it helps me to get consistent results every time! Comes with two bottles (4.0 and 7.0) of standard fluids, two AAA batteries, a wrist strap, a nice set of instructions laminated on a cardstock, and a case to put all this stuff in for storage. Highly recommended for homebrewers!!

So far so good. I purchased this to use in the field for SWPPP inspection (construction storm water).
The kit is nice and the meter is easy to use. Please note that it only comes with 2 buffers so you need to get one more (10.01) to do the 3-point calibration.

Wow this gadget is pretty nifty! It comes with batteries for the device, ph 4.00 and ph 7.00 calibration fluids and a cool case to keep everything organized! Everything you need for a ph pen! Very useful for gardening. If you have used the ph drops color test then you now how irritating it can be to determine the exact pH. Anyway, this product is a must have in yerms of value and performance.
