- 222mV ORP Calibration Solution is for checking and calibrating ORP electrodes. To check the function of the electrode, immerse the tip in the ORP standard solution. The mV reading should be less than +/- 10 mV from the value indicated on the bottle (at your temperature).
If the reading is not within the +/- 10 mV, or the reading of your sample is not within a normal range, soak the electrode in this standard solution for 15-30 minutes for treatment. It will condition the electrode's surface for ORP measurement and improve the electrode response time and accuracy.
